here's a few videos of my sisters attempt to get up prescott hillclimb, before you watch the first video you have to acknowledge that when the passenger grabs the wheel, it was to prevent them driving straight into the tyre wall

it seems apparent that the grabbing of the wheel caused the crash
but this shot shows the correction

and this one just shows her and a few cars setting off (followed by an ambulance and safety cars)

well my sister and the passenger (and owner of the marcos) have moved in together now, so dont see much of her to take pictures now, sorry lol
basically they were headed straight for the wall and she was looking down trying to get it in gear, so if he didnt correct it they were heading head on to the wall

she went off going in a straight line :P

yes the marcos has around 130bhp so you get a lot of torque steer

definitely the co-driver that caused the crash i can see that she was going straight as if she was going in to the tyres but the way he just janked the steering wheel made it swerve violently and made it crash

michael

ps any pictures of the sister lol

Favourite line "What did I do?"

Guessing that was his car, he stayed amazingly calm, I would of gone mental.

Car looks awesome, and how old is your sister/has she passed her test>?

Just thought of a new *you should of gone to specsavers* advert. Seriously though, never let her forget that.

she never will forget, i think she'll kill me for putting it up to be honest

it is his car, and he does stay very calm considering it was meant to be his first car at 16. now at 33 the first hillclimb event it gets crashed

a bit of tiger seal on the radiator and ewen (owner) set one of the quickest times of the day

and shes had her licence 9 years, (amazingly with 6 years ncb, the 3 years missing due to no car tho)

from the vid there was no need to grab the wheel so violently also your sisters counter steer would have acted against it sorta starting a scandinavian flick which caused the crash how bad was the damage

this is what I see, co-driver grabs steering wheel, driver panics and brakes, then co-driver over reacts, they crash.

He must really love your sister!!!

To be fair she doesn't seem to have a clue and can't even change down. Why 1st gear out of the bottom corner? Power came on torque steer in a straight line?

I think he was just a paniced man trying to avoid the unavoidable!!!
