Hi all, ive had a post in the normal tech section but the injection one is going to be more specific,
Ive a 92spi cooper. Ecu is a two plug job and has a 5 code ECU. No immobiliser and an aftermarket alarm.

Car got broken into a few weeks back. I replaced the wiring behind the barrel that they had pulled out and expected the car to start first time….. it doesn’t. sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn’t. It ALWAYS turns over but sometimes the injector and the spark goes. The fuel pump primes every time.

Parts I have replaced or tried different ones to see if it fixes it are…. The fuel pump, ecu relay pack, ecu itself, crank sensor. …………

If I play with the relays inside the relay pack by giving them random feeds to make the relays click on and off eventually it will start but as soon as you turn it off it doesn’t start again.

Ive had this with a mini specialist now for nearly three weeks and we are really stuck as to where to go. We have had the loom apart and cant see any damage whatsoever. Anyone got any ideas?

Theres deffo no immobiliser, its just so weird that sometimes it starts and sometimes it just doesn’t…..

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee help!
Thanks

Joel
