Well, basicaly what happend was - i drove about 5 miles from my house on normal roads then about 30 on the motorway.
I turned into an industrial estate, went down to second but when i went to change up into third there was no drive so i went into fourth.
Tried third again, nothing, back into fourth and there was no drive there either

Do any of you have any ideas what it could be?

(The gearbox has been whining like mad ever since the day i got it about 6 months ago, could it be the bearings? one of them finaly gone
enough for something to not line up)

Any help greatly apreciated as im back at work monday so wont be able to do much about it after that (exept get a new car :P )

No 3rd or 4th sounds like a selector issue...

If you loose 4th gear ( ie no teath ) you loose all gears, so as you still have 1st & 2nd it suggests that either the synchro hub for 3rd/4th has let go or there's something not allowing you to select the gears..

Only problem is, it's engine out time...
