hi there,
Hopefully I should be fitting my newly refurbished Exaction (Mini Special) alloys by the end of the week. I have had to buy a new set of the bespoke wheel nuts (£35), but have no locking nuts. Can anybody advise me on where I can get a set of locking ones? I can't fit the standard (beveled/tapered) type of locking nuts like I have on steel rimmed wheels.

Any help/pointers much appreciated

I bought mine from Jonspeed's Ebay shop, although i have just looked on there and jonspeeds website and couldn't find them. Maybe give them a quick ring? IIRC I paid £15 for a set about 2 or so years ago.

These are the ones you need:
Somerford Mini

I have these on my Exactons, bought them from Somerford after they confirmed with me that they were the right ones.
Went on my Special easily.

The best thing about the Trilock type shown above is that the heads of them still accept the rubber nut covers used on the Mini Special, so you can't see that they are fitted and all the nuts match. Others that I have used in the past were too big for the rubber to fit.

All my original nut covers are splitting and keep falling off. The plastic goes brittle with age.
Its a pain trying to get replacements. But I agree, the plastic covers do fit over the tri-lock nuts.

When they were beginning to be hard to find I bought 16 from Mini Spares to replace all mine at once. Got the centre caps at the same time too. They're still good at the moment but I know what you mean, eventually they will start to go. I'm sure another batch will be run up one day.
