HOwdy......
Just got my rear subframe arms off, looks like they could do with reconditionting.
Are the bearings/bushes hard to get out? Is it realistically a diy job or is it better to suffer the bill for some exchange units? They seem to have gone up in price the last few years....
Any opinions/experience
Cheers
Russ

I would suggest "recon" units from a repuatble supplier? You might find this useful - http://www.theminifo...x...=146889&hl=

Swapping the bearings and bushes isn't all that hard but once its done you have to ream the bush to the right finished size. If you don't have the correct tool it's hard to do well. Many people will now pipe up and tell you their favourite method for bodging this.

Cheers guys
I wont bother.
Looking at tasty KAD alloy ones
or maybe the specialist componesnts ally ones......
I'm quite tempted by a beam axle for my Minus, be a bit of a shame though as I bought brand new competition rubber cones, high lows, gaz shocks last year and have not yet ran them on the road, just been sat in garage
Anyone used a beam axle mini?

If you mean a beam frame then loads on the road, if you mean beam axle then not so many, but the handling is much much better than using radius arm suspension
