I'm having a few problems with a leak on my passenger side window. ive identified that the leak seems to be coming from. The exterior trim and seal doesnt fit neatly against the glass and water is dripping down the window past the seal and through the door and onto the passenger side foot well. All the trim and seal seems to be in good order so im thinking it must be the window not fitting properly. ive had the window out and checked the window mechanism and the runners all seems fine. Anyone else got any ideas? cheers

isit leaking from the rear quarter on the passenger side? If it is do you have the opening ones? If so then change them to the fixed rear quarter windows, I had the same problem and the fixed ones seal so much better and won't let any water in.

No mate it's from the front passenger side door. I can only think it's the glass not fitting right but I'm stumped.

It may be the same problem that I had.

Basically water was getting down the windoe past the outer rubber seal this was finding its way out at the bottom corner of the internal door card and then along the door seal itself. I discovered this my removing the interior door card and spraying the car with a hose. I cured this by firstly making sure the drain hole was clear in thebottom of the door then sealing the door openings on the inside of the car using duct tape and polythene sheet - this is hidden behind the door card.

Hoping this helps.

Yeah mate that's the exact problem I'm having I'll try that idea of yours cheers. Do you know why the seal Isnt fitting neatly against the window in the first place is it likely a mechanism problem.

i just thought i post a couple of pictures to try and give an idea of what i mean,

window - as you can see where ive circled the glass doesnt fit neatly to the door and water runs down and into the passenger side footwell through the door.

another picture.

i was in process of putting down a new carpet and on seeing the water and rust thought i better sort the problem before it gets worse.

any help is greatly appreciated.

cheers
