I like to do a fair bit of canoeing and kyaking. I was wondering if a full sized candian canoe would fit on a mini roof for transporting it.
I use inflatables at the moment, but i dont like them so much and i have been offered a proper canadian style canoe from a freind.
I just dont know how id get it any where.
Heres some details of a syimler canoe to what i could get -
Length 5.3m, Width 86.3cm, Weight 37.6kg.
would the roof with racks cope with this size and weight ? and has any one done it before?

Actually 40kg is the quoted max load on the roof. I can't see an issue on size if you use the correct markers where it hangs over the back.

If it'll take an armchair 'n Rowan Atkinson...
Good Point.
Altho I have a feeling it would over hand quite alot.

You may be fine but be prpaired to get stoped by the plod, off the top of my head I can't remember the weight limit for a mini roof but I would also look at how much the from and rear would hang over tey may well block your vision, Mr plod wont like that,
also don't forget to factor in the weight of the roof rack.
