Well, I haven't been around here for a while. Had a bit of a break from the Mini scene and been into my air-cooled VeeDubs with a VW Camper for a couple of years. I am now trying to trace my old Mini that I sold. Unfortunately I can't find any details of the person who I sold her to and a DVLA search just shows that she is SORN at present. I'd dearly like to get hold of the person who bought her off me and see if they are interested in selling her back to me.

Here is a picture of Susie not long before I sold her, she had a "theminiforum.co.uk" sticker in the rear window:

I'm running out of ideas on how to trace her and have no friends who are coppers who can do a PNC check to find current owner details. Any help would be greatly received.

Muchos Gracias.

And it's nice to be back!

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :mrcool: :P ;) ^_^

I hope that the person's travelling in the car were OK.

thats such a shame. didn't realise i had feelings for the old girl, but i am genuinely upset now, it's like losing a member of you family. thanks for the info merriennes, do you have any photos of her in the last couple of years, i have a scout round your site but without knowing which event he attended it is difficult to locate piccys, if you follow my meaning.

Do you know if it was totally scrapped or bought back by the owner etc? be interested in anything you could tell me.

Many thanks.

I imagine minijules means it can be re shelled with a Heritage Shell.

But obviously that won't be a cheap option.

Am i the only one thinking a new inner arch and rear quarter panel or a least a sound rear side section off a scrapped mini?

But then if the wheel / subframe has moved then it would be too much work to fix.

Worth looking into to save a great little car.

Hi Paul, nice to hear from you!

Such a shame. She looked absolutely lovely after you put a new front end on and sprayed her. Hope you enjoyed your time with her anyway mate and I hope that some of her goes to live on in another mini! i'll keep my eyes peeled and who knows, I may have a mini soon and be a member of the club myself!
