ellooo...just a quick post to ask if anyone knows anything about this roofrack that i,ve managed to get my hands on.......

i bought it off an elderly fella a couple of weeks ago....the only information i have is what he remembers(which wasnt a great deal)(bless him)....
he tells me that he got it when the mini"1`s" first came out...,i,m assuming he meant the mk1,he said he wasnt sure but he got it,he thinks,in the early 60`s...apparently he worked at the time for a company that made part of the rack,and he needed it for travelling around france in his various mini`s(2 of which were coopers)......does anyone know if regal made a rack for the mini at this time????........ive added a few pictures(not very good i,m afraid) but the rack is in good clean condition,no rust and still has the original leather paint protectors on the clamps and its 4 original wood slats.........i have been looking for a rack like this for some time but just couldnt find anything like it......is it rare? i cant find any info on regal racks made for the mini.....???

also i,d like to know how much its worth.......its currently proudly sitting on top of "maggot" ....but if there is a big chance some thieving toerag will nick it then i,ll have to take it off......

I got rack from an old volvo pv couple of weeks ago. was chuffed with it 35 quid too.

you should be chuffed also. it def looks well made. A polish and a bit of oil/polish on the wood and it will be even better.


Id say what its worth is always relative to what someone would pay, but ill take a stab at 100?
