Model:British Open Classic Engine fitted to a kit-car, -NCF Blitz2 On/Off Road Buggy
Year:1992
Description of problem I have access to a new, old-stock webber 28/36 DCD carb, and have found for sale an inlet manifold to fit it to my engine. If I fitted it, what sort of performance (both economy, and acceleration/top speed improvements)can I expect, over the standard carb, (HIF 38) with a stage 1 tuning kit fitted, (needle, spring, water heated manifold, and maniflow exhaust manifold, and only rear silencer, with approx 1/2 of 'plain' tube removed*)... (* 1/2 of 'plain' tube removed due to rear mounted engine, in kit-car chassis)

Currently, my kit-car, an NCF Blitz2, (on/off road buggy) is running on 13" wheels, with 185/60 tyres, as far as I know the gearbox is standard. Top speed, flat out is approx 95mph, 70mph easily obtainable 2/3rds of way up rev's in 3rd gear, (3000rpm-ish). The car is excellent fun on A and B roads, and can cruise fairly well at 70-80 mph in 4th gear. The car weighs around 500-600kgs

At a later stage I may decide to fit a better camshaft, too.
