This could be a silly question, so I may get a quick answer. What I'm wondering is if you can get iTrips (or similar, I've got a belkin one), to transmit to MW radio. Or, if you can buy specific ipod transmitters designed to transmit to MW. Granted the sound quality would be shoddy, but it would mean I could listen to what I want to instead of having my ipod docking station sat on the passenger seat all the time.

So, any ideas?

Cheers guys.

Its worth paying more when it comes to these. Really you need one which is powered from the lighter socket too, as it boosts the signal. However, with the amount of people using them and the amount of interference they pick up, it can be pretty hard to get a good sound from them.

When you consider that a decent FM transmitter is about £60, you can buy a JVC headunit with an aux port, then you can plug the ipod straight in and get perfect sound.

I know what i'd prefer anyway...

What HU do you already have? Most HU's have a phonoinput on the backwhich you can use to connect your ipod to, using a phono to 3.5mm jack lead.

I'm guessing it's the original MW radio he's using.

I don't know of any modulators that transmit on MW.

If none are available, you could always split the speaker output from the radio to a switcher so you could select the sound from the radio to the Ipod.
