Just found out about this today!

Sunday is the national Drive It Day, an event started five years ago by the
Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs to promote and protect the use
of older vehicles. Anyone with a car, motor bike, tractor, van, truck or
steamer over 20 years old is invited to take part.

The main events in Cumbria are being run by the Wigton
Motor Club but are open to all enthusiasts.

There are four runs from various points in the county. Please ring in
advance to book a place as we need to know how many road books to print. It's
all entirely free of course. All four routes converse on the Keswick Pencil
Museum to arrive from 11.30 onwards. You can of course just drive there
yourself and the cars will be there until around 14.00.

The starting points are:

Carlisle: Pirelli Factory, Dalston Road, Carlisle at 10 for 10.30 am. Ring
Ron Palmer 01228 575153.

West Cumbria: Mockerkin Tarn lay by from 10am with cars leaving at 10.30am.
Ring Bob Marshall 01946 861493.

Penrith: Halfords Car Park. From 10.00 with cars leaving at 10.30. Contact
Jim O'Neil on 01768 870236

South Cumbria: Punch Bowl Inn Car Park, Underbarrow (GRSD 464915). From
10.00 with cars leaving at 10.30 Contact John Harris on 015395 68044

Keswick: If you are coming to Keswick directly please ring Graeme Forrester
on 01900 825642. Please note that due to the road works you will
have to approach via the A66 and not the A591.

Anybody fancy coming along?
