Any tips on spraying the roof, its a pretty big area and I seem to find that you obviously can't reach all the way across, so keeping a wet edge going seems difficult .
You start on one side and get round to the other you are then getting over spray on the shiney bits.

Panelbeaterpeter did a sketch about this a while ago.

His technique was to paint the front left 1/2 and then the front right 1/2 followed by the rear left 1/2 and then finally the rear right 1/2.

I've never tried this, but cannot doubt him(ps left me know if it works for you!!)

Spray around the gutter first.

Then spray left to right or right to left ( depends if you a kak handed) from the side above the side windows, once you have got to the middle run around to the otherside and start from where you left off. This prevents the paint "drying" in the middle and allows time for the paint to "flow" out

I'm not sure what I was on when I posted that, for a big area that's the best way, and I guess if you're not too confident it would still work, but you can quite easily paint the roof without getting dry areas by painting from the outside in, then go round and carry on from the middle to the outside. Always do the gutters first, but only do inside them once, or you'll get run around the edge as it'll build up and cause runs. I can reach about three quarters across the roof from standing on one side, I am quite tall, but there's no reason why you couldn't do the same if you stood on something. Shifty's shoulders, maybe.
