anyone got an idea of the correct size exhaust size for a turbo mini, im puttin a t3 on my 1380, i have been given a downpipe from minitechnique in preston and i think its 2" but its rusty as hell and got a centre pipe in it. i was going to take it to my local custom exhaust place and ask them to take the knuckle off it and make a new pipe. what size do people recommend?

2" is about right, slightly bigger wouldn't hurt, but then you get into reducers etc.

all you need is one straight through silencer at the back, the turbo does a pretty good job of quietening things down.

cool, cheers mate, 2" is better then. i know you need back pressure with a turbo and i was thinking 3" would be a bit big.

to be honest I think the needing back pressure thing is a load of bull, even if it isn't you unlikely to have an issue untill you get to something like a 4" system, which isn't going to happen on a mini anyway.

some of the most powerful minis are running 2.5" or 3" systems, but the down pipe is still 2"you dont need to think about going bigger until your pushing 200hp, in which case you'll be worrying about other things first lol

haha fair enough mini13, yea think i will be worryin about other things if its pushin 200bhp, mind you ill not be far off that by the time im done playin. so 2.5 or 3 is ample then? 3" is soundin rather good then, i can use part of my old system and back box, as its a bit different from the norm.

Cheers for the help guys

fair enough but i think it to do with where it ataches to the elbow, sure you cant go bigger than 2", but if you manage to them do drop me a PM

plus maniflow can make to order so why not give them a buzz and see if its possible?
