Year:1990
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):
when the engine revs up past about 2 and a half revs theres a loud noise almost reminicent of a tractor haha. when u shove ur head in the engine bay and have a listen it sounds like its from the air intake. i recently fitted a ram pipe and pipercross sock but the noise started yesturday, and thats been fitted for nearly 2 weeks. iv checked the gasket between it and the carb and its fine. iv also checked that the everything is tight to the engine. but im sure its coming from where the air goes into the ram pipe.

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?
pipercross ram pipe and sock?!
