I would like to know how much my mini is worth if I were to sell it, here are soem pictures:

It has a 1380 engine from minisport with a stage 2 head and a hif44 with a K&N filter, has only done about 6k miles since engine was put in in 2003. It has a large bore LCB manifold and a maniflow centre exit exhaust.
Koni professional adjustable suspesion all round with Hi Lo's
12x5 Minilites with falkern tyres all with loads of tread.
It had a respray 6 years ago and has had new fromt scuttle, A pannels and doors.
Also new front and rear sub frames.
Also installed a electronic fuel pump, coil, condensor and dizzy cap last week.
It also has lots extra chrome bits throughout.

Interior is standar mini 30 half leather with a few things like peddles, gear knob and handbreak changed all very clean.

11 months MOT passed with no advisoraries, 7 months Tax

Bad points, Nohting really only a bit of rust bubbling through:
  • Under the headlights
  • by the side indicators
  • bottoms of doors
  • Drivers footwell is also rusty but solid
  • Below rear screent is a small patch

personally i think it would be worth more if it had the original standard engine.
bodywork looks good.
long mot will help it sell.
how many miles does it say on the speedo......that could go against it

i would say -

trade £1200-£1400
private - £2000

Has 75k miles on the clock, I don't think it would sell better with a standard 998.
I have about 7k in reciepts for it from the past 8 years and past MOTs

to maximise your return. Put the std 998 in it and it will still fetch 2k ish and then sell the 1340 on with the reciepts?

I reckon you'd get about £1800 - £2000, only because the metal used on the mini thirty was of insuperior quality and is prone to rust like no other mini.

No its not the grammer, its just I find it hard to believe that certain models were built using a lesser quality of material, then again stranger things have happend.
However I feel I am high jacking my own thread here, as I asked for valuations so can't question the responses I get.

Standard car sell much better than modified ones, as already said, chuck the 998 back in it. Sell it as a standard car, should be around the £2k mark. Flog the engine seperately and maximise your return.

The 1380, believe it or not may actually devalue the car and put buyers off.

Its a lovely looking little thing and will sell well.

its not certain models its just in 1988 and 1989 there was a steal shortage in the uk so they imported lower grade italian steal for a few years that is prone to rust quicker than the british steal used before hand.

Thank you, it would just mean sourcing a 998 from somewhere and swaping them over which would be hard to do. What would the 1380 be worth?
