Model: Paul Smith LE
Year: 1998

Ive just been and had an alignment check at my local tyre fitter as the steering wheel wasnt running quite straight. The chap has told me the rear wheels arent exactly straight in line with the car. Both wheels point slightly to the right with these readings;

N/S - 0deg.31 minutes
O/S - 0deg.07 minutes

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can get shims that go between the heal board and rear subframe to bring it back into line or would i be better getting adjustable brackets?

Or are these figures neglagible and not enough to worry about?

Any advice gratefully received

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

To get the settings correct you can either shim behind the outer radius arm brackets (not the heel board, as this is where the entire sub-frame is located and it's the suspension arms you are looking to set accurately) or file the outer rad arm hole into a slot and weld a washer to hold it in place when correct.
The alignment should be equal both sides in relation to the front and the rear settings should be:
zero to 0.5 degrees negative camber and 1 mm to 2 mm toe-in.
That's what you need to get it set to.
