Just trying to work out what engine I have actually installed!
The little tin tag reads: 12A28G03
Can anyone tell me where my engine came from and anything else?

theres the decoder but sadly both codes you provided do not actually match the selections provided

Ok so looked on minimanias identification bit and got:
1275cc Carburrettor
9.4-1CR, 3.105 final drive, catalyst, May 1992 onwards

Would someone please explain this bit: 9.4-1CR, 3.105 final drive?
Is that good or bad?

Good all round final drive ratio for fast road and motorway use.

3.44 is quicker off the mark, but the revs are higher so motorway journeys will be tiring.

how is your 12A2BG03, happy with him, got the same one just put in..... and what is the rest of yr engine spec....
