I spotted THESE on ebay and wondered if anyone has fitted this type of thing before? Is the price worth it or are there cheaper ones out there?

I too have been wondering about a wing liner. Do they work in protecting the inner wings or do they just cause the rust to occur in a slightly different place?

I think they'll be really good when done right. If you just screw these in to cover a load of surface rust and old waxoyl etc rust will still carry on. If you get rid of the rust, clean, paint and underseal/waxoyl the area then add these i think they would offer a decent benefit. The main idea being salty water being sprayed up into screwholes around headlamps and up into the top of the bulkhead where it sit and rots.

They're expencive for what they are though and you could probably make something similar for alot less, but you pay for the ease of fitment with these I guess.

Anybody know what hold the shock absorber side of these in place? I know a few self tappers hold it along the wing, but do they just wedge around the shock or what?

Infact, just had a quick look around. CBS do flexible rubber sheets in 1400x300mm sizes or bigger if you want for £7.

That doesn't sound too far off the size that'd be needed and it'd be just case of getting it into place and cutting around the shock and any other contours and things you'd need to get around, then they'd screw into place pretty easy.

I'm thinking these would look good sprayed up to match the car. I keep getting glimpses of inner arch on the front of my otherwise clean car, and it looks nasty. Its underseal and stonechip for a reason, snd yes I'd rather it be there, I just would like the whole area to look nicer.

I've fitted these my GT's and round noses as they fit both and would recommend them if you don't want your new front end to rot away. i would advise waxoiling the inner wing aswell to add further protection.

As everybody has said. If your going to put them in make sure you do the job properly. Otherwise all they will do is trap water and muck above them and your car will rot even faster.

how easy and how do you fit them?

a good idea as iv got all new front end panels fitted and the extra protection cant hurt

I have a set of these, they came with what i presume is the fitting kit but had no instructions. It seems to me they just push in place?

My next question is,.. I have Group 6 wheel arches and 13x7 alloys so the inner wing has been cut away. I am guessing the arch liner will now need so modification to fit?
