Year:1990
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):
I noticed yesterday that very randomly my indicators started flashing about twice as fast (maybe more); there is no audible click either. One of the side repeater bulbs is out and I am aware that this will cause an increase in flashing speed but this is a insane increase.

Am I right to assume the flasher unit behind the clocks is at fault or could there be another cause for this problem?

Dave.

This is probably caused by dodgy connections behind the hazard switch.

Thanks Dan, I will have a quick check in the morning.

Anything in particular I'm looking for?

I've just had the switch out, there dosn't appaear to be a fault.

To rule out a internal fault with the switch I manually bridged both of the Light Green/Brown wires, this didn't fix the problem.

Fixed it now. Took the plunge and brought a new flasher unit and it solved the problem. Also replaced both the side repeater bulbs too for good measure.

Dave.
