What size should the inline fuse be? - mine is 15amp, but this did'nt blow despite melting! (can't find it in Haynes)
Is it possible my fuel pump is faulty, and depending on rest position could be shorting out???
any other nuggets of useful info appreciated as I'd really like to know what happended!
cheers

Hi all, had the engine running with the bonnet open today and noticed the inline fuse for the fuel pump was smoking and melting! - switched it all off and checked everything. The fuse holder is not in the best of shape, and I replaced the fuse and cleaned up all contacts. Since then it's been fine, but I'm not happy I resolved it. A few questions:

10amps I'd think frayed wires at the fuse holder would be most likely if it was just the holder melting.

excellent, thanks Ethel. Got another holder and will reduce the fuse to 10amps. Thanks for your reply..
