helloo!

ive recently started a rebuild of my 998 89 mayair, n ive been doing a project thread on my club website but totaly forgot to do one on here!

My name is ben, im 18 n my local club is basingstoke mini club!! i brought Dolly for £800 with a years MOT last march after my fist mini (a 88 park lane) had a slight disagrement with a brick wall...n we wont talk about that!

Heres my car...Attached File  DSC00088.JPG   1.44MB   9 downloads
she was made into a cooper sportspack look alike in dark blue with a silver roof n bonnet stripes, but apart fron that pritty standard. so i have spent the last year enjoying driving her around. but with not a hope in hells chance of passing a mot n pritty shabby body work i decided i wanted to learn how to restore a mini

because ive got quite alot of pictures this is gunna need a number of posts of of the attatchment limit...

i also did the same with the front subframe, just getting all the rubbish n rust of it, then giving it a coat in hammerite and the antistone chip paint and fittid hilos to it,

last week i cut off the front pannel and should hopefully fit the new one this week!

i cant upload pictures because they are too big apparantly so will try and sort out photobucket soon :tumble:

my plans for the car are to replace the; front pannel wings n the do welding on the floors n boot floor. will then have a full respray in a shade of metallic grey, with a black roof n group 2 wide arches. then 10x6 wheeler steels also in black.

ive got a van bonnet n grill to put on it, along with clubman rear bumbers on the front and back.

inside is going to have a make over with classic cobra bucket seats

so im hoping its going to look good! ill try n get some pictures up n keep posting on how im getting along

cheers

ben
