Thats not the correct part to replace a GRH1289?

Mate I feel sorry for you. I had the same issue a few weeks ago and mine a K reg 1275. It has become an exceptionally rare part it seems. Luckily I got one from one of the smaller mini shops by typing the part number into Google and searching through the pages.

Have you looked at the GRH1289?

Its main hose is formed differently and the heater hose bends backwards and is far longer to suit the heater tubing. Im not saying you could'nt bodge it....

Isn't it the one with the sandwich plate connection?

Somerford Minis has it listed on their price lists for £36.96 les VAT and generally if the price is listed then they should have it in stock. But not always, although it's still worth giving them a ring: -

Oops.

You could try a Mini salvage company who might have the part second hand instead? I don't know if that would be wise for a component like this though.
