What Do You Do To Fit 13 Inch Wheels To A Mini Thats Had No Mods For 12 Inch Wheels?

Hi, im really confused as to what to do to fit 13 inch wheels to my 1990(H) Rover Mini. Please could someone let me know as what to do modifications wise to be able to fit 13's on...

there are loads and loads of topics on this!

to fit 13 inch wheels you really need to trim the front wheel arches, depending on the depth of the dish you may need to add spacers, which then may require longer wheel studs! really the suspension should also be altered as a lot more force will be acting upon it! hi-los, better shocks, adjustable arms and tie rods! you may also have to fit different arches to then cover the wheels so that it is legal!

depends on how wide the 13 inch wheels are

4.5x13 should bolt straight on as their over all size is very close to 4.5x12

I did this on my car (check thread in signature) started with 12 inch wheels - and went to 13x7s. In my case the arches at rear had been tubbed, and front cut, but I had to cut more on the front.

I added group 6s? (forgotten now) to my car to cover the extra width.

My car already had negative camber front arms, I have added adjustable tie rods, and the rear had adjustable camber and castor plates, as well as GAZ shocks all round. The car handles really well now.
