How Do I Fit A Cherry Bomb Exhaust?

Ok so today i got one of these.....
but i don't no how to fix it to my standard 998 exhaust system, any help on what i need and how to do this please??

is your current exhaust side exit? this looks like a centre exit to me. which mean you will need to by a hole new exhaust or cut and weld to the new piece.

try posting this in the techinical problems section too. might get a few more responses.

Where did you get this exhaust from?? :-


It's very nice, but in agreement, it does look like a centre exit. Did you just order this half, or did you order a complete kit with centre pipe?

Cut your old one off and weld it on the end of the pipe. Get under the car and have a look, you'll work it out.

I wouldn't bother though, it'll just sound like a bit wet fart. Sorry to wee on your chips.

Those cheery bomb exhausts are crazy loud and sometimes its weird loud like a wet sound.

It looks like a centre exit exhaust as said above, if you took it to any after market exhaust shop they could sort it for not much i reckon :-

Post a video up when its done I want to know what it sounds like

ok thank you for ya help, yeh atm i have it to one side with 2 boxs and no kat. might go for a straight threw pipe, but looking on mini spares i have no idea what one lol.

and what do u all mean by a wet sound? i cant picture a car making this sound or y it would do that, i was watching vids and it sounded ok?

Off topic, but did you manage to fix your mini then? I recall an incident with a lampost....

no i havnt yet, i like the way people remember my posts lol. ive been looking for a good quote, gunna see some more tomoz, and then work should start the 24th for 1 week :thumbsup:.

i plan to get the exhorst on then maybe evan get the garage to do it because its easier that way.

The best place for a cherry bomb is between the exhaust manifold and an RC40 or Maniflow rear box. Just cut and weld in place to suit.
