Recently i have created www.minitag.co.uk www.classminis.com as a place to list all of your mini's parts and accessories. I decided to do this after getting fed up of looking through various classified sections when wanting a part, and getting charged a SILLY amount of money to list and sell on ebay!

this is a FREE Website, so come on, give it ago.

How do i know i can trust someone selling on there, ebay has a feedback system. what security do you offer, or do you recommend its all via face to face

The idea i think is really good, but the way its been put down could be better.

For around £20 of my own money, i could make a site that would appeal more. a better domain. and overall run more smoothly and have direct competition with yours. You've got to make it stand out from the crowd.

Im more then happy to give you a hand if needed. But simply knocking up a website like that without a dedicated domain wont help you one little bit,

No offense intended.

Daz

Nice idea, but it will never get off the ground, as said above really

To be fair any classifieds website would need you to use a bit of common sence, and caution. And this is clearly in the delelopment stage. Its this type of feedback which can help me make the wesbite into something better. Also none of these forums seem to have a feedback system, but people are happy to use them (i know you see see a members post etc... but i have had e-mails off people who i later found out to be un-trust worthy. Personaly i would recomend a cash on collection system when it comes to any substantial amount of money. If you think you could help me out though dazzul i would happily accept, as by the sounds of it i may have to go back to the drawing board. I was also thinking of maybe having a lucky dip type of contest for free parts aswell (as soon as i can get my hand on something good :)

Cheers.

I wish you luck with your project. The hardest part is getting known and trusted as a reliable site.

sound like a good idea to me if used like the classified in free adds paper. i.e. ring the seller, go look at item, if its what you are after pay for item, if not say thanks but no thanks.

Agreed. Nice idea.

I have book marked in my favorites and will check it out.

Wish I'd seen it soon er as I would have had the Mini Mags off you. I have a massive collection of Mini Mags (both Mag and World) and these could have been a nice addition :D) I was in Nottingham over the weekend.

I have PM'd you.

Good luck with the site.

If I were you I would add the use of paypal or something of the sort if there is a different service you use in Europe (I'm in the US). This will give buyers protection if they purchase something from you or through you. It will allow them to buy something knowing that if the deal would go sour there is someone on their side who would reimburse their money.

Hope that helps!! Also I think it is pretty easy to become a business seller on paypal although I'm not 100% on that!
