I've seen worse and replaced better....

You could use HILO's to adjust the ride height, but personally, I'd replace them

A new cone is about 4-5" in height.

Cheers GW, just been out to measure and they are 3.5", I'll see if I can spot a cheap pair on ebay.

Don't buy cheap cones.... they are 1. inferior quality and split, 2. ultimately dangerous....

Oh no no, I meant a cheap pair of good ones :) been a bit lucky with finding bargains lately. I'll probably end up buying them from Mini Spares when I get my next order in to be fair.

Cheers.

Definitely get genuine ones. It's not worth the hassle of having to do it all again when the cheap ones fail after a short life :) I'd replace them as a matter of course, especially given the extent of your rebuild. Mine felt much nicer with new cones and hi los :D

I wondered this to not that I have taken mine out or am able to at mo. But mine seems to ride quite high certainly not low or collapsed and have only felt rear cones
and they feel hard but I have never handled a new one and imagine the rubber is pretty hard to start off with.
I would think I soon know it if any were to collapse fully.
Im thinking new dampers all round first and see how that helps the ride!
