ive a 92 spi cooper. i didnt drive it for about 4 months last year and since jan of this year ive changed the tyres twice! once in jan and again about a month ago. the insides are wearing really fast. i can see the wheels have got negative camber on them but ive never put a kit on and havent had this problem in owning the car for 5 years.
i do about 1000 miles a month so surely yokoA539s should last longer than that? ive always used these and they used to last loads longer :S
is there anything i can do or anything that might be wrong that would cause such fast wear?
AND before anyone askes I dont wheelspin out of junctions or anything silly to just waste tyres.
Im really confused....
any helps appreciated!

If it's lowered then that provides some negative camber?

How high is the car?

This man's got it. If your cones have collapsed (if you've never changed them, you can bet they are) then your suspension will be lowered. Mine was the same, so i put hilos on and jacked the suspension up.

ive just changed top and bottom ball joints in about feb time so shouldnt be worn?

It sure would mate. Raise it up to something sensible or get adjustable bottom arms to dial out some of the excess neg camber.

if you fit adjustable camber brackes you can get it set so its no as bad. which would help your problem.ive just changed top and bottom ball joints in about feb time so shouldnt be worn?
