HI,

I'm getting ever so close to finally finishing my mini project! Currently sat in the front is a metro engine, which I decided that would be fine with a bit of tuning and parts here and there. Some time ago I went out and bought a nice K&N cone air filter (as mentioned in the yellow Bible) and thought that this would be perfectly matched with the K&N stub stack (also mentioned in the yellow Bible), but to my suprise, can I find the stub stack anywhere online?!?! NO!

Min-its told me that K&N have stopped producing then, but continue to make the 1.5" stub stack?! Why!

I know that there are other stub stacks out there (mainly billet type), which cause a problem with them not fitting, as there isn't much room in the cone filter.

Does anyone know anywhere which does have some in stock, or anyone got one kicking about?

Please!! I don't want to have to go out and buy another filter (that's never been used) just to fit a stub stack in.

Thanks in advance for any help, as I mentioned, my mini is finally coming to a finish, I think I might win an award for the longest project ever (8 years so far)

Cheers

Rob

When I fitted stub stacks to my Cooper 'S I didn't notice any power gain anywhere in the rev range on the RR. I reckon you are just as well off opening up the hole in the K & N and putting a decent radius on the carb intake mouth, say 1/4" radius, and a 'ramp' on the carb piston of about 1/8" at 30 degrees.
