Lol i have an mpi and im now getting a jolt when i go from second to third then i go back down i get it every now ang again any ideas whats happening? i have change dthe engine mount rubbers tie rod rubbers etc but still no better the gearbox rubbers look ok should i change to see if it makes any difference or is it internal? if so looks like i maybe purchasing a rebuild s/c gears and new diff quaife diff

Get one wheel off the ground, stick the gearbox in 1st and see how much play 'lash' you have in the diff... a possibility could be our MPi unfriendly diff pin about to let go...

excessive movement, with it in gear you should only be able to turn the free wheel a few degrees before you feel the resistance...

oh right ok will check it out in the morning worse case senario and there alot of play how long until it goes bang as its a daily do i start looking for another daily and give it the love it deserves?

a jolt dull thud really im not letting her have it his my toy goto keep with it i will buy her one soon this give me the chance to take it off the road and spend some serious£££££
