As iv'e got some more time on my hands now though I would re-shell my piccadilly and bring it back to life, previous project thread link below..

http://www.theminifo...x...132140&st=0

started the work yesterday by removing rear subframe and starting to strip the majority of the card interior, was surprisingly quick. I'm just hoping that its just as quick putting it all back together! ha

rear end stripped minus arches (couldn't find the drill)

subframe off

This project thread is in need of an update!

love the hammerite effect!

removing engine ancillaries

Posted Image

Posted Image

little help from some mates

Posted Image

next was deciding whether to remove engine with a crane/winch and then everything else to follow - subframe, along with suspension, braked drive shafts etc..
but due to the lack of an engine crane, decided to get some people round and lift the shell off the whole front subframe!

so all of the subframe mounts where removed along with engine steady bars and steering rack (ball joint ends)

after some pushing and shoving got the shell off

slammed!

few more stuff for the shells arrival

fibreglass smooth double skin boot lid

Posted Image

testing fit on rusty car

Posted Image

will need some trimming to make fit flush but looks good.

cooper s style double skin fibreglass bonnet

Posted Image

will also need trimming to make fit nicely and flush

this is how my dog sleeps hahahaha

heard a lot of good things about swiftune, especially this cam. you could also try kent cams,

the best thing to do would be ringing some companies and see what they gotto say and see what they suggest, hope this helps!!

yea it definitely is a good shell but as I don't have any welding equipment/experience, I worked out it would actually be cheaper to re-shell the car and then sell the shell to someone who wants to restore a piccadilly as that isn't really my intention, so I have the original interior to go with it minus the carpet.
