
Fitting New Hif 38 Carb

ok i'm fitting a hif 38 carb to my mini and there seems to be more pipes than needs.
there the fuel in
fuel out.
breather pipe.
vacum pipe.
but there are to spare.
not sure what these are for thanks steve

has any one got a picture of a hif carb in a mini.

I'm guessing it has a mixture weakening device.
The pair at the bottom are fuel(left) and vent(right). The pipe above them connects to the one above the throttle with a short length of fuel hose.

Isn't one of the upper pipes not meant to be connected to the breathers...

Yeh but no but ...... he seems to have 2 X fuel IN pipes ??

my carb has two extra pipes than the second picture.
one to the right of 4
and another to the right of 6 on the manifold fixing plate
one to the right of 4

also it is different from the one in the haynes manual.
the one in the haynes manual looks like the second picture
