None of that sounds too traumatic....

Brian just failed too, he had the same problem with the back brakes, a balljoint needing shimmed and a split CV boot (although I got the CV joint replaced as it was clicking sometimes).

Could have done it myself, but didn't have my usual 2 weeks free to do the job lol, i'm not a fast worker when it comes to mini. So I paid my local mini specialist to do it, Re-MOT the next day and bobs your uncle it passed.

So don't feel down, only thing i'd look at for the future is tackle some of the corrosion before it gets too bad.... :P

When I 1st got my mini and put it in for an MOT it failed, and the list was 3 pages long, the biggest problem or should I say expense was rear subframe.
however I knew it would fail, just wanted to know what on.
Oh and it has a non standard exhaust (playmini) and yes like a true mini always leaks oil.

I'm pretty sure mine isn't leaking because all the gaskets are in good condition and everything is torqued up correctly

That MOT list doesn't look bad at all really,... brakes are things i would've expected you to have noticed when driving the car? and it only takes a few minutes to adjust your drum brakes up on the back - you would've noticed the dodgey cylinder that way too.

Hope you get it all fixed soon... Summer was made for Minis! :P
