Hi there, I've got some of the italian job style long bonnet straps, but I don't know how to fit them, I've got a Mk1 grille if that helps.
I assumed I would just screw/ rivet them to the top of the bonnet (the edge by that meets the scuttle panel), and screw/ rivet the other half to the slam panel (or whatever the bit where the bonnet catch is).
But I just wanted to make sure. If anyone could post up pictures that'd be great too.
ps. I've seen the thread about the shorter straps, but that doesn't really answer my question.

Also, which way is which? the buckle end attached to the front of the car, and the strap bit towards the scuttle panel, or vice versa?

i screwed mine in (though i used some plastic spacers to avoid scratching my bonnet), and i fitted the buckles (or the shorter strap) to the scuttle panel
