Hi there,

I have an Austin mini City E 998cc 1989 and am trying to put new plugs in.
The spark plug tool I have is too small, could you please tell me what size the plugs are and what size tool I need ?

Many Thanks

Regards

Ian

As danie said the socket size is 21mm, But the spark plugs themselves are called 14mm plugs
If you are ever buying a compression tester or gunsons colortune, etc then you will need a 14mm one.

Doesn't matter, as long as you have something that fits to turn it.

I'd opt for 1/2" if there's a choice - one size fits all toolkit for the road.

13/16" is the one you should use...

This relates to the size of the square peg on the ratchet you're using. Common sizes being 1/4" (small), 3/8" (medium) and 1/2" (large).

Measure the width across the flats on the square peg you click the socket onto to give you the size you need :)
