well me and my mates where bored the other day so we set about making a wicked cool bonnet for the clubby, inspired by the vw scene we come up with this.

i forgot how good the beano is lol

How's it done? Glue them down then laquer?

i used pva to glue the paper down then put a couple of coats of pva over the top, a bit like paper mache. so at the moment it is seriously non-weatherproof

im gonna take it to a local body shop to see if they can laquer over it, just to give it a bit of protection.

i wouldnt recommend doing your roof though, i dont know if the laquer will seal it properly and anymoisture that gets underneath will get soaked up, you could end up with a very rusty roof.

hence why i used an old bonnet, it can be removed at any time too

Very good idea! And I'm impressed with the results. Would work on the roof if you were able to seal it properly. Either laquer or some sort of resin to waterproof it.

Brilliant! Very original and unique - like the way that the Beano contains loads of red which means it coordinates with the colour of your clubbby - perfect

i hadent even noticed that theres lots of red on it. it might just be that the red is more noticeable because its on a red car.

you can actually read some of the stroies too because there not in a random order. we cut them out and stuck them in sequence.

im gonna get some removable bonnet hinges so that i can swap them about whenever i please. weather permitting ill take it to the beaulieu cooper day if anyone wants a closer look.
