1989 city e.

I'm trying to fit my lamp bar on to my mini, and nothing really lines up i've got the mk 2 onwards package. Do I mount the bar at an angle or bend the top bracket to line it up at an angle? Just wanted to get a few pointers before doing it and getting it wrong.

Did you get anywhere with this? as I have just got a light bar as well and was wondering the same thing?
Does the top bracket go under the bonnet latch plate?

mine was a pain in the bum to fit. i fitted the catch first (or the top bracket) and made sure that the bonnet closed properly. then i attached the bar to the top bracket, liked up the bumper lip then marked then drilled. even with this method, the bar was slightly squint, and the bonnet didnt close properly. just bend and bash till it fits

does the bonnet latch plate go to top or underneath the light bracket?
It looks like the bracket should go underneath the latch but thought I would ask first.

the one i bought (off ebay), the bonnet bracket goes on top of the bar (and then bolted in place) you may have a different styled one?
