Mk1 Xr2 Conversion?

Just to clear things up:

All XR2s Mk1 and Mk2 were 1.6 CVH SOHC with a single Weber carb. Not a Kent or a crossflow.

For their time they were pretty powerful - 105bhp IIRC

They don't like high mileage and need regular maintenance. They're pretty coarse running. They're heavy and the gearboxes are big.

IMO this engine would be best where it came from in a Fiesta. There are lighter, smaller, more powerful and probly cheaper options out there nowadays.

Also, the CVH is probly worth some good coin to the right person - hotrodders etc.



No, Mk1 XR2's had a crossflow kent engine, MK2 XR2's were fitted with CVH SOHC engines. In any case they're heavy and wide, so not the best choice for a Mini.
