Got myself a HIF38 to fit to my 998 but would like to see a picture if possible of how the throttle and choke cable connect.
Thanks

sorrt i do not have a pick
but i have fitted hif carbs to minis before as long as you have the heat shild plate with the clip for the chock cable and the hole for the throttel it should be fine.
are you experiencing problem fitting a HIF?

Thanks for reply. Well having small problem, mainly just wanted to see how the choke plate clip thingy worked.

the heat plat should be bolted between the monicold inlet and the exit pibnt of the carb. there will be a flat at the top with a rectangular slot in it that will have a clip in that holds the chock cable once the cable is clipped in then you can connect it to the chock assembly on the carb.
ahhhhh found a picture ! hope this helps? good job i brough my USB to work to day
