wow!!
did you do the full resto or was it in a garage?
I'm sorry to say that I can't take credit for the magnificent job that was done building this car. The bodywork (paint and rebuild) was done by Colin Davis of Tetford (he's a genius), and the engine was done by Dave Scarbro of Tattershall, Lincs.
and with the dateless plate and the mk2 rear lights make it look plausible
whats under the bonnet
When the car was being finished the engine was taken away to be rebuilt by someone recommended by a friend of my father. It was an absolute disaster, a truly awful rebuild that used / lost about 4 litres of oil in 1000 miles. They didn't warranty it, and it was a fail of epic proportions. Suffice to say they won't be getting any further work.
I saved up to get Dave Scarbro to build my engine next, and not being a mechanically minded person I simply asked him to design me something that was fun, with a bit of 'go', and not too useless at the bottom end. (read: don't want a lumpy race cam)
So he bored the engine to 1115cc, and fitted a 12G202 head, and a B.M.C. 510 cooper s camshaft. He also made sure that all the bits that needed to be replaced were; obviously a new oil pump.

This was about a year and a half ago. A month ago I decided that I was really loving my mini and wanted just a bit more power from her. She still had to stay reasonable because I use her every day, but I just wanted a bit more pull. So once again she went to Dave and he came up with the following:
1300 12G940 head,
David Newman Camshaft (don't know which one without asking him)
Negative camber set up.
So I got her back a couple of weeks ago, ran her in, and now she's ready to go on a rolling road.
I think that's it... :S
