you can remove them but they are there for a reason.. before removing them id check to see if theyve got a factory spacer underneath them.. is they have the 1/4 inch spacer in just take that out and see how it sits.

No you really don't want to be running on the bump stops, lift it up a bit.

with short/removed bump stops you are risking a ball joint failure, because the ball joint pin will get too stressed in the event of a bump

a couple of centimetre between the top are and bump stop wont make it sit high, of course it will sit lower if you cut the bump stops, but only because the ball joints will snap and the hub falls off.

i had under 10mm between tyre and arch on mine and it wasn't on the bump stops at the back >_< and the front was just as low and wasnt on the bump stops...

its definately on the bump stops, i had a look with it on the floor, after driving it round the block to settle everything, i think it may only just be touching.......

Mine was set up pretty low when the new cones were fitted.

It quickly settled onto the bump stops without me realising and became horrible to drive and gave me back ache.

The bump stop spacers were removed as it is now running 10" wheels and this helped but it still banged down onto the bump stops far too often.

I have just given up and raised it back up, it doesnt look too bad, but drives so much better.

That’s a simple one, there isn’t bumps stops on the rear of a mini with dry suspension

Running on the bumpstops is DANGEROUS ! You could fit Comp Hydro bump stops to the top arm, a much better proposition for cars this low.

Plus with the front of the car now sitting on the bump stops, the ONLY suspension you will have is any give in the tyres. So expect your tires to fall apart/wear quicker and good luck if you think it will handle especially in the wet, as it just simply won’t.
