Hey guys,
Been thinking alot about security on my little beast . . . looking into getting a couple of kill switches, removable steering wheel, and possibly a tracker??! Has anyone here thought about it? Cheapest one is £185 for Tracker Retrieve (you call them to say it's gone - they then look for it) or £225 for Tracker Monitor (any motion withoug ignition engaged, they check with you if its moved) Now they then have subscriptions, £130 yearly or (and probably what i would do . . . £350 for the lifetime you own the car.
It's mainly for when i go out or park it at my house in the summer (usually boxed in by another car) in the winter it's kept safe in my mum's alarmed garage.
Will a motion tracker work with a mini or will the slightest breeze set it off lol??
let me know what you think. Petrified that it's gonna go missing, spent thousands on it!

I have thought about. And tried thinking about ways to also do it on a budget.
But, I hope you know any crook who actually knows what he is doing (career theif, the sort of person who steals cars to order etc) Will know about, and own one of these little gadgets (that can be bought for as little as £35) Its a GPS blocker. and it will also block the tracker. Dont get me wrong, trackers are great and taking EVERY procortion possible is the best solution, as long as you know trackers arent the bee all and end all of security.

you're kidding me!
For gods sake! why would they make these! Great, so trackers are useless then?!
only way of securing this thing is removing the wheels and welding the floorpan to the side of my house!
JOKE!

If they own one, then yep. Useless.
The "excuse" for them is so people can hide from their boss etc if their work vechile is tracked etc etc.... But we all know the sort of person they are aimed at. Some people do anything for a quick buck, even aid theives. We can only hope the manufactures cars get stolen!
