This is a bit of a long shot but I thought I would ask in case anyone else has had and fixed the same problem..
Spent the weekend changing to a stage 3 cylinder head with 1.5 roller rockers, now car won't start.
The starter motor just whirrs around..
I have checked the timing and its fine
I thought maybe it could be that my crappy spark wasn't good enough so today I fitted a brand new coil and plugs which hasn't fixed the problem (but spark is better and they are sparking at the right time)
The fuel pump is pumping fuel to the carb (HIF44) but the spark plugs aren't getting wet and so I am assuming that if it isn't the spark thats stopping the engine firing then it must be that fuel isn't getting past the carb, does this sound right?
If so can anyone suggest what could be causing this?
Thanks
Also the head and rollers were previously working together on a different engine

Have you adjusted the tappets afterwards? 15 thou with 1.5 rockers. Have you completly removed the carb? If so have you attached the fuel feed to the right port? Fuel feed on a hif 44 is the lower of the other 2 and come out straight from the carb rather than an angle like the upper 2.
