Anybody know a a good place to get my cosmic alloys cleaned up and repainted in the North(ish) Birmingham area. Been quoted £300 for the set which seems a bit steep to me.

The guy next to my unit will do them to a mirror finish (and i mean a mirror finish!) for much less than that. You'll have to do the painting part yourself but thats no biggie! Hes actually doing my 10x6 cosmics tommorow, i'll try and find time to throw some pictures up.

I think I'll have a go at sand blasting and fine sanding them myself. Seems as though it would be easier to buy some decent condition ones instead at that cost. :turtle:

I wouldn't sand blast them, you will end up with a lot more work to do as it will pit the surface of the alloy quite badly. A chemical strip and sanding will be a lot easier. Depending on the condition you may be able to soda blast before a light wet sand and polish.
