Hi
I am restoring my 1960 mini, and it has the Old English White coloured central speedo housing. I removed to clean it up, and it looks like some kind, of mastic or putty was used to seal any gaps with the front bulkhead when fitted.
What is the best or most appropriate sealant to use when I replace it, bearing in mind I may have to remove it again in the future.
Thanks
John

Hi
Well, i was at Somerford Mini today and they use `DumDum' sealant putty. I bought a tin of it and this is now what I will use. Its also used for things like sealing paned glass to window frames etc.
