Split Rim - How Do You Seal Yours?

Hi guys, thanks for reading! I have been asked to sort out the split rim wheels for our formula student team, they said that they had a real hard time sealing them last year, and i thought before i just dive in at it with what ever is lying around the uni, i would see how you guys with split rims seal yours effectivly!

i used to run tubes but now i just sealed with silicone when assembeling them .. works a treat and havent gone down yet ( 2 months)

How are they with putting tyre with tyre machine? i have never let anyone else put any tyres on my rims
