hi ive seen the pre made centre consoles with the air vents fitted and im planning on making my own centre console but how do i connect the air vents to the heater?

Some flexible tubing a similar size to what's used on the window demister vents should do the job.

I'm not certain having never seen one close up but I didn't think that the air vents connected directly to the heater. They just sit in the face of the centre console and when the heater is in the 'Car' position it will fill the centre console with air and come out of the vents.

I have the air vents in my console in my 2000 mini which has the plastic heater unit, it came with a template to cut a slot in the front of the heater box behind the vents & a blanking plate to cover the old outlet to the floor so it directs the air through the vents.

theyre just normal dashboard vents with a bit cut off the top so it sits neatly under the heater vent, thats what came with my custom consoles one
