How To Lock A Smooth Booth Lid Without A Lock?

Is there any way because ive seen boot pins and aerocatches but im not sure if theese are actually locks and is there anything out there?

I think people use nissan micra boot locks, But i think you could easily modify the mini's internal bonnet release system to work on the boot lid

Just a thought but why not rig up a system using an old internal bonnet release mech with a wire going to the rear bin on the drivers side
