Hi guys. I'm relatively new to the forums here, have been lurking for a little bit and am well away with the search for buying a mini...... However, i'm not quite sure on a few things and would love a bit of help.

What should I look at to assure the quality of the mini? e.g Where to look for rust? What to look for in the engine?
How much should I be paying for a first time mini?

by the way, i'm looking for a mini which has a minimal amount of rust. Not much hugely wrong with the engine. Mainly, I want to improve the interior, and learn a lot about the engines of mini's and how they run. This will be a lead up to a serious project.
