my picshi there, i'm new to this site, i've just today picked up a 1974 mini-van. It has spent most of it's life in South Africa but was imported over here about 2 years ago. I am hoping to get it back to it's original state, but i can't seem to find much info on them-can anyone help? I've taken a few pics but they aren't the best! Any help would be much appreciated. i can't seem to attach a picture to this, could someone let me know how to do it?

Hi all, thanks for all the welcomes! Any of you guys no much about mini vans, i've looked all over the net but there 's not a lot about em! It seem's in very good condition for it's age(only a few spot's of rust)but that's probably because it's been in South Africa until 2 years ago. It's only had two owners since new, but unfortunality the last owner died, leaving it to his wife. She moved over here to be with her daughter and got it imported and MOT'd. It's been sitting for the past year in a garage, but they didn't really have the space to keep it! We had to replace all the brake shoes and bleed the brakes just to get it moving -it started up first time though. Myself and my future Father in law have bought this for a winter project, hopefully getting it back to it's original state. Where's the best place to get interior part's as these are all missing. i.e Dashboard, door panels, carpet-if it had any? The seats are original, but iN NEED OF TLC.

Hi there and welcome. There are many who have the knowledge to help you it will just take time to ask all the questions.
There is a specific Van site www.bmvc.co.uk not very active but some of the specialist boards aren't. Join a club locally is a good start. Read the Mini mags is another way to pick up contacts.
There is a regular Mini Meet on the first Thursday of every month at the Ace Cafe on the A406 North Circular Road near Hanger Lane London, NW10 if you fancy a drive (not sure what part of Essex you habit). On a good night have 50+ cars etc.
Hope this info helps
